“Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one come to you without leaving happier” -Mother Teresa. Early in my life, this quote was introduced to me and overtime it developed into my purpose. When I first came to Lakeland, I was in search for a career that could help me live my purpose day in and day out. Quickly after my arrival, I was presented to Lakelands’s education program. The education program here is truly outstanding and I could not be more grateful to be apart of something so special. From the relationships I have built with my professors to the amount of in-classroom experience I have participated in, Lakeland has developed me into an effective and inspiring future educator. Throughout my time at Lakeland, I have learned that teaching provides the perfect opportunity to facilitate young students while being able to live out my purpose.  

Not only have I been able to enroll in Lakeland’s education program, but I have also had the chance to compete on the women’s basketball team. Being apart of this team has genuinely been one of the greatest experiences of my life! From playing with teammates who became family to having coaches who became my role models to traveling to Ireland and experiencing that culture, this team has left such a positive impact on my life.  

I could not be more appreciative of the people and experiences that have made my years at Lakeland nothing short of a blessing! Everyday is a great day to be a Muskie!
