Badminton Club allows athletic and non-athletic students to enjoy the sport of badminton. No experience is needed to participate. The club meets from 3:50 to 5:00 p.m. on Fridays in the Wehr Center Fieldhouse.

Cristi Chang, associate professor of mathematics, is the advisor and Nico Thompson, senior education major, is the president. Badminton Club has over 50 members, and it is common for guests to also show up.

“I started the Badminton Club in fall 2010,” said Chang. “Many international students liked to play badminton and it is my favorite sport, too.”

A badminton tournament will be held this April, and everyone is encouraged to sign up. Prizes include a first place prize of a $100 Walmart gift card.

Everyone is welcomed and encouraged to come and enjoy the fun of Badminton Club.
