Learning to adult Knowledgeable Lakeland staff imparts wisdom on intricacies of adult life to students

Jake Sagal, Staff Reporter

Earlier this semester, the student activity office put on a unique event for LU students. Mark Edmond, David Gallianetti and LaJill Edge hosted a panel where students could ask any questions about adult life and surviving in a world independently. Topics ranged from career searches to taking out mortgages. Hot cocoa, wine and multiple liqueurs were offered late on the evening of Nov. 14, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Multiple students attended the event and conversation was lively.

Another event is currently planned for February 9, 2023. Plans include having another panel discussion at 6:00 p.m. and a protocol dinner following the discussion. This will give students the opportunity to learn how to sit and eat in a professional environment in a judgement free zone. If you have any questions pertaining to this event, please reach out to the success office.
