Weekly Outlook: Sept. 27-Oct.1

There are several events happening on campus this week, all leading up to Homecoming. Be sure to get your fill and plan appropriately. Here’s the weekly roundup:

Tuesday, Sept. 27—

  • 11:30 a.m.—Lunch and Learn: The Power of Social Media—Laun 210—Get a free meal while learning just how powerful social media really is.

Wednesday, Sept. 28—

  • 3:30 p.m.—Women’s Soccer vs. Wisconsin Lutheran College—Muskie Soccer Field—Catch the Muskie women at home and cheer them on during this afternoon game.
  • 7 p.m.— Valuing Others: It’s good for everyone—Bradley Theatre—this event aimed at Confirmation-age youth, teachers and mentors will be full of inspirational drama and dialogue.

Thursday, Sept. 29—

  • 7 p.m.—Homecoming: Mr. Muskie—The Bradley Theatre

Friday, Sept. 30—

  • 4:30 p.m.—Homecoming: Fish Fry—The Suites Courtyard
  • 6:30 p.m.—Homecoming: Pep Rally—The Suites Courtyard
  • 7:30 p.m.—Music—The Suites Courtyard

Saturday, Oct. 1—

  • Homecoming and Big Fish Festival
  • 9 a.m.—Big Fish Festival starts
  • 9 a.m.—Preview Day—prospective students will be visiting campus, so show them what Lakeland’s all about.
  • 9 a.m.—Free Fitness First—Todd Wehr Center
  • 9:30 a.m.—Exercise Science Lab Open House—Todd Wehr Center
  • 10 a.m.—Women’s Tennis vs. Aurora University—Sports Core, Kohler—The women are at home against their first opponent of the day, cheer them on Muskie-style.
  • 11 a.m.—Pre-Game Lunch: Sizzlin’ Salads—Campus Center Tent
  • 1 p.m.—Football vs. Concordia University Wisconsin—Taylor Field—Cheer on the Muskies and show your campus pride during this Homecoming game, and don’t forget to rock your luau gear!
  • 2 p.m.—Women’s Tennis vs. Dominican University—Sports Core, Kohler—Cheer on the Muskies as they face off against their second opponent of the day.
  • 2:30 p.m.—Preview Day—more prospective students will be visiting for the second half of preview day.
  • 4 p.m.—Post-Game Celebration—1862 Lounge—Come celebrate the outcome of the football game with all your fellow Muskies.
  • 4 p.m.—Dinner Under the Tent—The Suites Courtyard
  • 6 p.m.—Women’s Volleyball vs. Alverno College—Woltzen Gymnasium—It’s the last sporting event of the day, so be sure to pack the house to cheer on the Muskie women.
  • 9 p.m.—Live Jam: Blue Light Scene—The Suites Courtyard—Stay into the night for some additional entertainment and make sure the celebration never ends.
