Hosted by the Global Student Association, this year’s annual International Night brought together students, faculty, staff and community members to honor the diverse range of cultures that are represented on our campus for over 4 years.

Captivating performances highlighting the diversity of cultures worldwide took place throughout the evening. From the opening flag display representing unity and the heart-stopping Italian song performance by Lola D’Acquitsto to the rhythmic beats of the Japanese Association’s Fisherman’s Dance, each act made a strong impression on the audience. The evening’s cultural offerings were enhanced further by the exquisite fashion presentation, Carson Galla’s Swedish trumpet performance, and the Quinceanera dance by ALAS.

Organizing an event of this magnitude requires a lot of planning and coordination. Under the leadership of the student organizer, preparations began months in advance. Every aspect of the event was carefully organized, from coordinating with Bradley employees to guarantee logistical needs were satisfied to finding volunteers for different positions. Flyers and social media campaigns were also used to promote the event, guaranteeing a high level of participation and engagement.

International Night catalyzes promoting cultural awareness and understanding. By providing a platform for students to proudly showcase their heritage, this event encourages an appreciation for diversity. The vibrant performances and traditional clothing exhibits provide attendees with a glimpse into the diverse cultural fabric that enhances our campus community.

It was quite encouraging to see how positively attendees and participants alike responded to the event. Numerous attendees conveyed their satisfaction with the occasion and indicated their drive to take part in this event next year.

Throughout the entire evening, there was a strong sense of unity and appreciation for ethnic diversity among the performers and audience members. An important part of encouraging diversity and inclusiveness on campus is International Night. The event supports the university’s mission to build a friendly and inclusive community for everyone by promoting an atmosphere of acceptance and admiration for diverse cultures.

Let us continue to honor the rich diversity that makes our community unique as we anticipate upcoming activities and projects. By working together, we can establish a campus community where each person is appreciated and feels important.
