Despite a resilient effort, the men’s basketball team fell short in their season opener Tuesday, Nov. 15 against Northland College.

The Muskies were in striking distance multiple times throughout the game, but they could not close the gap as the final score was 85-79.

Meanwhile, on the same day, the women’s basketball team squared off against UW-Whitewater. Our Muskies fell behind early in the game, but came back with a strong third quarter as they outscored the Warhawks 17-16.

Unfortunately, this was not enough to reclaim the lead and our Muskies fell short as the final score was 70-50.

The men’s basketball team headed back into action on Thursday, Nov. 17, hosting UW-La Crosse. UW-La Crosse was victorious with a final score of 86-66. The women’s basketball team will be back on Friday, Nov. 18 to host a tournament.
