Elementastic is creating a gateway for young, innovative college students to connect with the youth in the Sheboygan County areas. This new program is providing a once in a lifetime experience for elementary aged students, as well as paving a way for the promising young adults to grow in their leadership and entrepreneurial skills.  

The premise of Elementastic is to work with the Lakeland education and science programs to arrange paid opportunities for students to gain experience in their field of study and help develop future scientists. Schools can apply for multiple Stem services that Elementastic offers. A two or four week after school program, a one-hour experiment presentation, a one-hour hands-on activity, or an individualized community event. Specific details regarding each service can be found at lakeland.edu/elementastic. Within all the session Elementastic offers they have some exciting experiments for the kids to participate in. Things such as glow in the dark slime, light, colors and shadows, and science in motion. These are just a few of the exciting things our young leaders have worked hard to bring to the youth here in the Sheboygan County area.  

Beyond school related functions, Elementastic also coordinates their own community events. Coming soon, on April 15, Elementastic is hosting a STEM camp and fair for elementary and middle school students, an event meant to encourage and stimulate interest in STEM education. The camp runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and costs $40 per student.  

Elementastic is a true testament to the power and versatility of leadership. It’s inspiring to see young leaders gain real-world experience while also fueling the next generation of thinkers and trailblazers. One of the young leaders Morgan Erbtoesser said that “My favorite part about being an Elementastic instructor is seeing the kids learn about science. I love being able to help kids enjoy science as much as I do”. The world can see that with dedicated young leaders ,Elementastic is set up for great success for the future. Learning constant personal growth while bringing the next leaders of the world with them.
