Lakeland Coffee House Series

Lakeland students participate in an ongoing Coffee House series that showcases Lakeland’s musicians in the Daily Grind.

On October 25, Amber Bush performed on her clarinet to kick off the first showcase for the Coffee House series. Bush said, “The Coffee House series for me was a chance to get my music out there for people you wouldn’t typically see at our concerts. It was exciting to get such great feedback from people who had never previously listened to an instrumental or vocal performance.” Bush agreed that being able to perform for peers helped in preparing for upcoming recitals. Bush said, “I think it is also important because it helps the student body branch out from what they are used to, they may end up discovering that they enjoy listening to live music.”

On November 15, Christina Pringle passionately showcased her singing talents and was excited to share her gift with her peers. Pringle said, “I think it’s important a lot of the time for the arts to be highlighted here at Lakeland. Many people don’t know we have a music program here. It means so much to be able to share my talents with Lakeland and my peers.”

An upcoming talent to look out for in January will be Bryndyn Schoreder who is described as a talented and passionate musician.  Check out the Lakeland Events Calendar!
