Casino City

On Feb. 16, Lakeland University Student Success and Engagement hosted a Casino City event on the second floor of the Younger Family Campus Center. Casino City is an event that simulates what a real casino experience would tend to be. All ages were allowed to attend due to there being no actual gambling activities. This event was intended to keep the campus life active and create a way for students to gain entertainment for the weekend. The event was facilitated by volunteers from the Lakeland University community.

Instead of using actual currency, the event allowed students to sign in and start off with $50,000 of Casino City money. The students were then allowed to use their gaming money to compete in casino-like games such as poker, blackjack, roulette, and craps. Students earned Casino City money throughout the event and gained an opportunity to enter in raffles for numerous gift cards.
