Gabrielle Boss, Staff Reporter

Lakeland University’s fall play for 2017, “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest,” premiered on November 9 at 7:30 p.m.

The story surrounds main character Randall George McMurphy, portrayed by junior communication major Zachery Mock, who is the newest admission to a psychiatric hospital. The ward is run by head administrative nurse Mildred Ratched, who is portrayed by freshman hospitality major Chloe Skibinski. The ward is full of other patients such as George Sorensen, a man with extreme germaphobia; Martini, who suffers from severe hallucinations; and Scanlon, who is obsessed with destruction and explosives.

The rest of the cast features a variety of current and former Lakeland University students including freshman Megan Sullivan as Billy Ribbit and graduate Shqipron Qunaj as Turkle.

The fall play ran on Nov. 9, 10 and 11 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 12 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bradley Theatre.
