In an email sent out on Tuesday, Feb. 23, Student Success and Engagement Coach Rick Herian said he will be leaving Lakeland College to pursue another position.

Herian filled the position previously vacated by Kay Voss, who notified students she was leaving Lakeland in June 2015.

According to the email, Herian has accepted a new job as a Career Development Specialist at Herzing University.

“This is an opportunity that will allow me to continue to fulfill my passion of assisting college students, while in a location that will benefit me personally going forward,” said Herian.

Herian’s last day with Lakeland will be on Thursday, Feb. 25.

Herian said in his email, “If you have a chance, please stop by and let me wish you well in person before I depart.  If you do not get the chance, know that I wish you the very best with your remaining time at Lakeland and all of your future endeavors.”

For questions regarding Herian’s departure, concerns about who to speak with from the Student Success and Engagement team in his absence or for any other issues, students are encouraged to contact other Student Success and Engagement Coaches, who will be able to help.
