The Lakeland Student Government Association Town Hall meeting took place Thursday, Nov. 17 in the Campus Center.

The meeting started off with several students taking the oath of the senate as they were inducted into the organization.

Members of the SGA then went on to discuss old business, such as previous vacant senate positions, t-shirts and the possibility of a new stop sign on campus.

The meeting then continued on to discuss more recent business, including the executive board’s meeting with President Dan Eck. During their meeting with Eck, the executive board discussed the new sports facility and where the money to fund it came from: a fundraiser.

Following the discussion of Dan Eck’s meeting, the executive board talked about their Board of Trustees meeting.

SGA ended their meeting with discussing upcoming activities they would like to host and be a part of, such as karaoke and relaxation weekend.

SGA’s last meeting for the semester will be held on Thursday, Dec. 8.
