Relaxation found in the middle of the week

Melissa Reise, Staff Reporter

Does the changing weather have you feeling down? Do you need to take a mental break from the stress of classes?

Come visit the relaxation station on Wednesdays in October between 10:30 a.m. and noon.

Director of Counseling Services, Cary Knier, said, “October tends to be a stressful month for students because of midterms and the weather changing, so we thought it would be a nice thing for students to come and relax their minds.”

She also stated that every Wednesday there will be healthy snack options, as well as a different activity such as coloring sheets and yoga stretches.

The station kicked off this past Wednesday, Oct. 5, in the 1862 Lounge with water, fruit and trail mix among the snack options. There were packets set out informing students on how they can eat healthy and what yoga stretches may be helpful when de-stressing.

Knier said students can come and stay for as long or as little as they’d like.

The rest of the relaxation stations will be held at The Daily Grind.
