February 8, 2016
In honor of Black History Month, Lakeland College will be hosting a convocation on Tuesday, Feb 9, at 11 a.m. in The Bradley featuring, “Ain’t I a Woman,” a musical and acting troupe.
The performers will act and sing about four significant African American Women: folk artist Clementine Hunter, ex-slave and abolitionist Sojourner Truth, novelist and anthropologist Zora Neale Hurston and civil rights worker Fannie Lou Hamer.
A question and answer session will be held directly after the performance.
