Lakeland travels around the world

On April 14, Lakeland celebrated its 10th annual International Night. The event was hosted by the Global Student Association (GSA). The night was filled with singing and dancing which represented countries from around the world. Both international staff and students were given the opportunity to display their native cultures.

One act included Rick Dodgson, associate professor of history, who treated the audience to a Lakeland College themed sing-along based off an old British war song. The Japanese Student Association (JSA) also wowed the audience with their synchronized Soran Bushi, otherwise known as “Fishermen’s Dance.”
