With midterms on the horizon and classes becoming more difficult and demanding, it is easy to feel stressed, confused and overworked. During this trying time, Lakeland’s writing coaches are ready to help to the best of their abilities! No matter what subject the course material is, they work hard to help make their peers feel more at ease with their writing skills.
To get to know the writing coaches a bit better and to be more open with the other students, they have given introductions to share with all the Lakeland Muskies.

Mckenna, an English education major for grades 4-12, has worked as a writing and time management coach for three semesters. She is not a part of athletics here at Lakeland, but she does volunteer for the Big Brothers / Big Sisters program outside of school. Mckenna mentioned she “enjoys writing coaching because it gives [her] the opportunity to meet new people that [she] wouldn’t have otherwise.” Outside of academics, she loves to “be with friends and family, going out to get coffee, drawing and reading!” She also spends a lot of time with her puppy Raina!
Mckenna’s appointment hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. and lastly, Thursday from 9 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. To contact her, please email [email protected].
