As college students, we expect all of these great luxuries that the campus has to offer, yet we cannot even handle the simple task of putting garbage into the garbage can.

We need to take pride in our campus that we have here at Lakeland University and not take the things we do have for granted.

During the very first convocation of the year, President Dan Eck emphasized the importance of taking care of our campus.

We have been failing miserably at doing so as a student body.

So do us all a favor: If you see a piece of garbage on the ground, take three seconds and pick it up. If the garbage can is full, then do not throw the garbage next to the garbage can. Instead, take 10 seconds to walk to a different garbage can.

We have a beautiful campus here at Lakeland University. Let’s keep it that way.
