Some of the international students at Lakeland are staying on campus for Thanksgiving recess.

For those who are, a long break like Thanksgiving recess can be hard as they have to stay, sometimes, doing nothing.

The international students are all in the same situation. Most of the time, they stick together and spend the holiday as one big family.

Thanksgiving allows international students a chance to learn more about the American culture as they are presented with American traditions.

There are some amenities available on campus during Thanksgiving recess, such as the fitness center.

The fitness center will be open on Wednesday, but not on Thursday and Friday, and will be back open for Saturday.

Wednesday, Nov. 23—

• 6 a.m.-9 a.m.
• 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Thursday, Nov. 24 and Friday, Nov. 25—

• CLOSED

Saturday, Nov. 26—

• 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Sunday, Nov. 27—

• Normal hours resume
