The Muskies men’s soccer team took on Millikan University on Tuesday, Sept. 18. The team was looking to continue their winning streak after coming off of a big non-conference game against Robert Morris last week.
Stuart Ball started off the game right away with a goal to put Millikan up 1-0 at the fifth minute of the contest, but the Muskies were unable to return the favor with Millikan going into the half winning 1-0.
The Muskies looked to come out strong in the second half, but Millikan was able to keep the game under control scoring for the second time just ten minutes into the second half. The Muskies had some good points in the game. Alex Piekarski had six saves in the game. Lakeland’s offense struggled by getting outshot 15-7 in the game. The Muskies expect to rebound this Sunday when they take on North Central College.
