Commuter Club meets for updates

Peter Ludolph, Staff Reporter

With the Tuesday, Feb. 2 meeting of the Commuter Club comes an update to information given in our past story.

According to Lisa Stephan, student success and engagement coach, the request for more commuter lockers will not be able to be answered due to there being no “viable space.”

Rich Haen, senior director of facilities management and security, informed Stephan that more lockers cannot be placed in their current location due to it being a fire hazard.

However, the student requests for a runner to be placed in front of the lockers has been answered and solved.

There is no update on the commuter fridge situation according to Tiffany Fischer, sophomore business major, who is heading up the effort to get one for commuters. The issue of where a fridge would be placed for the students still remains.

The Commuter Club meets on the first Tuesday of the month, with the next meetings to be held on March 1 and April 5.
