A suspected phishing scam is traveling through the Lakeland College email system. If you receive a message with the subject “Message from Staff Portal” which appears to be coming from [email protected], delete it. It is NOT a legitimate email from Lakeland College. Also, do not click on the link in the body of the message.

Phishing scams use email addresses which appear legitimate to obtain confidential (usually financial or identity related) information from the recipient. The best defense against having private information stolen is to delete these types of emails.
