Phi Delta Omega sorority has finalized plans for this year’s Teddy Bear Drive, an annual charity event sponsored by the Lakeland group. The drive is taking place from Monday, Jan. 30 through Saturday, Feb. 4, during which time stuffed animals and other donations will be collected at bins placed in the residence halls, the student center, Old Main Hall, and Laun Center.
The drive will be followed by a Teddy Bear Toss at the Wehr Center on Tuesday, Feb.7, during halftime of the women’s basketball game. All fans, including parents and families of students, are asked to bring new and gently-used teddy bears or other stuffed animals. The first to throw their animal into a hoop placed on the floor will win a gift card.
All proceeds will be presented to the pediatric ward at Aurora-Sheboygan Memorial Hospital. Stuffed animals that are donated will go to needy children in the local area.
