The Criminal Justice Club is holding a Woman’s Panel Tuesday Feb. 28 at 6 p.m. on the second floor of Laun.
The panel includes females who have worked in the probation, parole, law enforcement, and judicial fields. These women will share insight about their occupational history, including stories of how they were discriminated against based on their gender and balancing career and family life.
“The women’s panel would be a great event to attend for anyone who wants to learn more about the difficulties for women who have careers in the Criminal Justice System,” Criminal Justice Club President Stephanie Rebek said. “This would also be beneficial for any woman planning on going into corrections.”
Rebek said everyone is welcome to attend. Posters with updates on the event’s location will be up soon.
