Letter to the Editor: Dear Davida

Dear Lost in the Moment,

Kudos to you! Understanding your personal struggles can help you meet the challenges of procrastination head on. Great news! Lakeland realizes that you are not alone. To help planners and procrastinators alike, the college’s first Cram Jam has been scheduled for Monday, Dec. 1 from 8 p.m. to midnight.

The event promises a night of study and fun designed to prepare you for the final weeks of the semester. The library will be the one-stop destination for help from tutors, research assistance from librarians, workshops of effective Prezi presentations and wellness demonstrations. Door prizes, food, beverages and periodic fun breaks will insure a good time for all. Mark your calendar!

Meanwhile, don’t wait idly for Dec. 1 to roll around. Reach out to the many support services available to you, including the John Esch library, the Hayssen Academic Resource Center, located on the 3rd floor of Old Main, ARC’s terrific tutors, the Success Coaches found on “Success Alley” in the Campus Center, your academic advisor and your professors to help you keep focused on your goals and success.

In addition to Cram Jam, take advantage of this upcoming workshop:

How to prepare for final exams on Tuesday, December 2, 12-12:45 in Old Main 25.

Before you know it, you’ll be referring to yourself as Found in the Moment.

See you on Monday, Dec. 1 at Cram Jam!
