Women’s volleyball digs up win

The women’s volleyball team was back in action on Thursday as they traveled to Dominican University to face the number one team in the conference.

The match started off slow for the Muskies, causing them to lose the first set, but they rallied together to grasp the second. However, the third set didn’t go as planned for the Muskies, as they fell short in a very close set.

The women managed to come back with strong player leadership within the team, helping them to win the final two sets and snatch the victory 3-2.

The match was a great success; the Lakeland University women’s volleyball team has not beaten Dominican University since 2009.

The Muskies are back in action on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 2 p.m. as they take on Concordia University Wisconsin on the road.
