The Lakeland College Creative Arts Division and Music Department presented the Spring Honors Recital convocation event on Tuesday, March 22 in the Bradley Theater.

The recital began with tenor Jacob Nault, junior choral and general music education major, who sang a lovely rendition of “Autumn Evening,” a poem by Arthur Macquarie, music by Roger Quilter, which was performed on piano by Katie Christensen, senior piano performance and pedagogy major.

Soprano Siera Ramirez, senior choral and general music education major, next beautifully sang “Madrigal,” text by Robert de Bonnières, music by Vincent d’Indy. Christensen also accompanied Ramirez on piano during her piece.

The following performance showcased the strong vocals of soprano Tia Pribbernow, senior general and choral music education major, with Elisabeth Daniels, adjunct instructor of music, on piano for Ricky Ian Gordon’s “The Red Dress.”

A dynamically dexterous feat performed by Christensen, “L’isle Joyeuse” by Claude Debussy, brought the concert to a close, impressing many in the audience.
