Safe Harbor educates students

As part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, a Safe Harbor representative was in Bossard on April 22 to hand out brochures and talk with students about sexual assault and the services they provide.

According to the Crier on my.lakeland, Safe Harbor provides prevention, intervention, education and outreach services to empower individuals, families and the community to end all forms of domestic violence and sexual assault.

“It is a great agency that provides support to our students in addition to the counseling services we provide on campus,” said Cary Knier, director of counseling services. “It is also important for students to know campus services that are available. They can see campus counselors, the campus nurse, the campus chaplain or security should they need support.”
